This article covers everything from a theoretical perspective: Where can you buy cannabis clones?
Black Market or Austria?
In many countries like Germany, these are illegal, and this also applies to Switzerland if the cannabis clones (or cannabis seeds) could have a THC content over 1% in the flowers. In Austria, however, anyone can grow cannabis, even if it’s potent. However, there must be no intention to produce marijuana.
If the cannabis is potent, this is assumed, you cannot prove otherwise, and it becomes criminal with legal problems. Therefore, no farmer in Austria grows cannabis that will produce potent flowers. But up to the point where the plant transitions into flowering, every cannabis plant is legal in Austria. You can keep or trade as much pre-flowering cannabis as you want. In Austria, you can buy cannabis clones in stores. There are also occasional dealers who ship them after purchase.
Those who order cannabis clones from abroad naturally have the right to their goods, and it’s the shipping service that imports them into other countries.
But it’s also the person ordering these clones who becomes criminally liable when ordering illegal goods. In the Netherlands, you could buy cannabis clones over the counter years ago, which were then traded and mass-produced. However, those times seem to be over, although people can certainly know each other. But then you don’t buy in a store. For many years now, it’s gotten to the point where Dutch people come to Germany to grow marijuana and smuggle it back to Holland to sell in the shops. At least that’s what’s reported in the media and among people in the scene.

Buying Cannabis Clones: What Should You Consider?
You can therefore legally buy and cultivate cannabis clones in Austria, as long as they’re not yet flowering. The shops generally offer very good clones that have no diseases or pests and are naturally vigorous. Of course, you cannot take them across borders if they would be illegal in the relevant countries.
However, you could send purchased cannabis clones quite safely from Austria by airmail to another country where they would be legal. Even if airspace of other countries where they’re illegal is crossed or landed in during transit. The airspace is outside the customs border. It might still be illegal, but no one would check.
If you’re not sure whether something is legal or illegal, you should naturally avoid it.
Anyone buying cannabis clones on the black market or from friends should always very carefully check whether the little plants are healthy. Especially that they have no pests and diseases and will likely continue growing well. Here you naturally don’t usually know 100% what strain you’re getting. Or you have to take what’s available or even wait weeks.
If you maybe even get mixed strains, you naturally can’t cultivate them well in the same grow room. And probably don’t even know how the cannabis clones will grow, how you need to handle these plants. You also don’t know whether you’ll even like the harvested marijuana. In these situations, the question arises whether you shouldn’t simply buy a few feminized seeds and start fresh each time.
